J.J. has been a fun dog to have at our shelter, but we will be thrilled to see him go to a safe home. He was brought to us in an extremely neglected and matted condition, and afraid of everyone. After several days, we saw him come out of his shell. He is now playful and enjoys showing us his toys one by one, when we enter his area. He also entertains and attempts play with our upstairs cats through their cage bars. He remains afraid of men and cautious of new people, but would be a wonderful companion to an adopter that is home most the time, and a particularly great fit for a female owner. He quickly bonds to anyone offering him reassurance and craves interaction from those willing to open their hearts.
