DESCRIPTION:
2001 F150 XLT Super Cab Sport in bright red clear coat. I am the original owner. I bought it new in November of 2001. The truck has always been reliable. It only has 45,777 original miles. I have used Mobil 1 synthetic oil in the truck since its first oil change. It gets religious maintenance and I have meticulous service records. It has a spray-in bed liner and BF Goodrich all terrain T/A KO tires. I have a filter mag on both the oil filter and transmission pan. It also has the factory tow package. It recently got an oil and filter change, along with a fuel and air filter. The rear brake lines were also replaced by my mechanic. The truck does have some scratches about the body, from normal use. It has NEVER been abused or subjected to heavy use. There is a slow leak in the left front tire. I have had the tire removed and remounted, but the problem seems to persists for reasons unknown. I tend to suspect a poor mating surface between the rim and bead. Every 2 weeks or so it becomes necessary to air it up a little bit. The other issue involves the four wheel drive indicator light on the dashboard. The four wheel drive system works as it should, but the light doesnt always turn off when you go back into two wheel drive. When you turn off and restart the truck, the light does go off as it should. I researched the issue on the internet and I believe the problem may be related to the "shift sensor". I have seen other 2001 F150s listed for as much as $10,900 with way more mileage. Average retail is about $9,700 with the current mileage. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this truck to Alaska.
